Suspend for the DR session

About this task

A suspend operation makes the devices in the DR session NR on the SRDF link, stopping data synchronization between the SRDF/Metro and DR sessions.

Once the suspend command completes successfully:
  • If the MetroR1 is mapped to the host, the MetroR1 remains accessible to the host.
  • The DR is Write Disabled (WD) to the host.
  • The MetroR2 state is dependent on the SRDF/Metro session state.
  • If the SRDF/Metro state is ActiveActive or ActiveBias, the MetroR2 remains accessible to the host.
  • If the SRDF/Metro state is SyncInProg or Suspended, the MetroR2 remains inaccessible to the host.
  • The DR Service state is Inactive.
  • The DR state is Suspended.

Example

The following example shows the result of thesymmdr –sid -702 –name metrodr1 suspend –dr command on array 702 when the SRDF/Metro state is ActiveActive, the DR state is Consistent and DR mode is Asynchronous.

symmdr –sid -702 –name metrodr1 suspend –dr
