Ingen video når skjermen slås på

Det kan hende at Dell-skjermer ikke viser video når de er koblet til DisplayPort (DP) på hovedkortet i OptiPlex-datamaskinene som står oppført nedenfor. Dette skjer når skjermen slås på og etter at systemet er slått på.

Cause

Dette fungerer som det skal. Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Graphics Output Protocol (GOP) krever at skjermen henter EDID-data (Extended Display Identification Data) først. Når dataene er mottatt, sender de video til skjermen.

Resolution

Dette er forventet atferd der utformingen av hotplug-oppdaging følger UEFI GOP- og DP-standarden.

Løsningen på dette problemet er å slå på skjermen før man slår på systemet for å sikre at skjermen kan oppdages.
