Time: Thu Sep 20 11:05:43 2022
Alert Id: p0-535
Event Id: EVT-STORAGE-00031
Event Message: Disk has a hardware fault and may need to be replaced.
Object: Enclosure=1:Disk=10:Cause=NA

Event Description:

A hardware fault has been detected for this drive. The drive or the cabling to it may have a problem.

Cause

On the DDVE-based platforms, like DD3300, the disks are constantly monitored by the underlying PowerEdge RAID Controller (PERC) and iDRAC Lifecycle Controller.

Any disk fault, failure, or predictive failure is passed up the virtual stack (Hardware > ESXi > DDVE).

The Fault or Failure results in the applicable Alert being generated.

Resolution

Any faulty or predictive failure disk should be replaced.
