Cause
PowerMaxOS issue with introduction of enhancement 113861.
A mismatch may develop between the login tables in various levels of a front-end port on an FA. This results in IOs not being responded to. A symptom on the array side is receipt of Host Initiated Aborts (ABTS) in the form of AB3E messages.

Resolution
Cumulative Enginuity Pack 9675 for PowerMaxOS 5978.711.711 removes enhancement 113861.
Dell Technologies can perform an upgrade to the latest available Cumulative build for those PowerMax customers who have enhancement 113861. This is done at no cost to the customer. If your PowerMax is running this enhancement, contact your Dell Technologies representative to schedule an update referencing this article. Additional Information
The issue with enhancement 113861 does not affect PowerMax arrays that do not have the 32 Gb/s Fibre Channel I/O Module installed. It also does not affect VMAX All Flash systems running with this enhancement.
