PowerProtect Data Manager: Hyper-V Agent installation fails with error ACGHV0003

Symptoms

Agent installation fails with the following error:

ACGHV0003: Unable to complete the host configuration because of an issue with the INSTALL_AGENT operation.

The /var/log/brs/ghvdm/ghvdm.log shows:

[c.d.p.g.s.HostConfigurationRestService.lambda$configure$1(113)] -  Exception occurred while performing host configuration 
com.dell.ppdm.ghvdm.common.exception.ExtrernalComponentException: Failed to retrieve or create certificate bundle or certificate details are missing
  at com.dell.ppdm.ghvdm.common.utils.CertUtil.getCertificateAndKey(CertUtil.java:169)

 

Cause

The PowerProtect Data Manager File System (FS) Agent is also installed on the Hyper-V Server. 

Resolution

  1. Uninstall the host from the Protection Engine page.
  2. On the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance, browse to the /etc/ssl/certificates directory and locate the folder with the affected servers name.
  3. Delete or rename the folder of the affected server.
  4. Retry installation from the Protection Engine page.
