Fix OneDrive Sync Problem When You See "OneDrive for Business - Up to date" Message in the Icons Tray
Summary: Take the following steps to solve the sync error in OneDrive with Windows.
Instructions

Check if you can access your OneDrive for Business account online by taking the following steps:
- Go to office.com
then sign in to your Office 365 account.
- Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area at the taskbar.
- Select View online. If you cannot access your OneDrive for Business online, contact your Network Administrator.

Sync problem may be resolved by updating to the latest version of OneDrive. OneDrive for Business is frequently updated so make sure that you have the most recent updates. If you sync only OneDrive for Business accounts associated with Office 365, you might be able to use the new OneDrive sync client.
To update, take the following steps:
- Download and install the latest version of OneDrive to your PC.
Note: If you already have the latest version, the installer setup will end automatically.
- Open the OneDrive desktop app.
- Enter your OneDrive account email address then click the Sign in button.

Check the file size of the files that you want to sync make sure that it is no larger than 2GB. If the file is too big, reduce the size of the file by zipping it.
Also, check the file path; it should have no more than 250 characters, e.g.,
C:\Users\<UserName>\Pictures\Saved\2014\January\Holiday\NewYears\Family…

Duplicate filenames may lead to a sync problem so ensure that each file has an unique name. You may also have trouble with the sync process if you are uploading multiple files at the same time. To prevent this from happening, try to limit the number files being uploaded at a given time.

Ensure that you have permission to access the folder that you are trying to sync.
- Sign in with your Office 365 account.
- Open the file or folder that you want to sync, check if you have permission to save it. If you cannot see a file on a network, contact your administrator.

Insufficient OneDrive and disk space storage on your PC may also cause a sync problem. Ensure that you have enough space by checking and comparing the size of your OneDrive storage with the available disk space on your computer. If space is not enough, considering deleting or moving some files, or free up your disk space then try the sync process again. Alternatively, you may buy more storage.

Follow these steps to repair a sync connection with OneDrive for Business:
- Right-click the OneDrive icon in the notification on the taskbar.
- Select Repair.

- Click Repair in the dialog box.
Note: Repair reports your progress until all sync connections are reset. - Click Finish.
Note: Do not restart your computer while Repair is running. If you have a timed auto-restart scheduled for your computer, postpone it until you’re sure that the Repair is completed.

If you’re having problems with a synced library folder, stop and restart the library syncing. If you are not sure of your library path, visit your SharePoint Team Site, and browse through your documents: the URL is your library path.
Once in your SharePoint team site, you can initiate a sync by clicking the Sync icon on the team site.
