Collecting Storage device information for VMware (ESX/ESXi OS)

  1. Copy the dellcollector_Linux_v1.0.tar file from Lasso/bin to the collection host.
  2. Open the terminal window.
  3. To extract the dellcollector_Linux_v1.0.tar file, type tar –xvf dellcollector_Linux_v1.0.tar and press Enter.
  4. To navigate to the Dell collector folder, type cd dellcollector_Linux_v1.0 and press Enter.
  5. Type ls and press Enter. Check if the following is listed: dellcollector.main dellcollector.sh outputs tools version.sh.
  6. To run the script file, type ./dellcollector.sh and press Enter. The Lasso collection ZIP file is created in the outputs folder.
  7. Copy the Lasso collection ZIP file from the outputs folder to your Lasso collection server host.
