Dell Lasso Version 4.7.3 User's Guide

Before installing Lasso, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:

• The user account has Administrator privileges.
• The system has any of the following Windows (32 bit or 64 bit) operating system:
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows Server 2003 R2
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Windows Server 2012
  • Windows Server 2012 R2
  • NOTE: Windows Server Core is not supported.
• IP connectivity is available for the required devices.

• Microsoft .Net framework 2.0 or later is required on Windows hosts.

  • NOTE: The Microsoft .Net 2.0 Framework can be downloaded from the Microsoft .NET 2.0 download.
• Lasso should not be installed on the following servers:

  • Virtual Center Server

  • SCVMM Server
  • IIS Server or have a running IIS Microsoft Service

  • Actively browsing to an https://site.com

    • NOTE: If Enterprise Manager Data Collector is installed and running, close the application.
    • NOTE: All these applications will use port 443 and cause a conflict with your collection.
• Ensure that the Phonehome/SupportAssist service is started on the Compellent Array.
• Ensure that you disable the firewall on the Lasso Server while collecting.
