Configure the UUID on virtual machines

To configure the virtual machine, you must enable the UUID attribute on every virtual machine.

About this task

Perform the following procedure:

Steps

  1. Start the vSphere Client, and log in to a vCenter Server.
  2. From the main window, select Virtual Machines and Templates.
  3. From the left panel, right-click the virtual machine, and select Power > Power Off.
    The virtual machine powers off.
  4. Right-click the virtual machine, and click Edit Settings.
  5. From the VM Options tab, expand Advanced, and click Edit Configuration.
  6. In the Name column, enter disk.EnableUUID.
  7. In the Value column, enter TRUE.
  8. Click Add, and OK.
  9. Power on the virtual machine.
  10. Repeat this procedure for every SVM in the VxFlex OS system.
