Download and copy the SELinux module ZIP file

Initially, an administrator is required to download the Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) Policy for PowerFlex to the relevant operating systems.

Steps

  1. Download the latest version of the file PowerFlex_SELinux_DDMMYYYY.zip from: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/scaleio/drivers
  2. On all relevant nodes, create a folder called /var/PowerFlex_SELinux/.
    Use the command:
    mkdir /var/PowerFlex_SELinux/
    The relevant nodes are:
    • MDM
    • SDS
    • SDR (if used; this includes the relevant rules for LIA)
    • SDC
    • LIA
    • PowerFlex Gateway
    • PowerFlex presentation server
  3. Copy or transfer the PowerFlex_SELinux_DDMMYYYY.zip file to the nodes that will be used for PowerFlex.
  4. On each node, perform the following:
    1. Change the directory to the folder that you created:
      cd /var/PowerFlex_SELinux/
    2. Unzip the file:
      tar -xvf PowerFlex_SELinux_DDMMYYYY.zip
