Install SDC on frontend servers

If an SDC was not installed on frontend servers during initial deployment using the CSV file, follow the appropriate instructions for your frontend servers' operating system.

Consult the Support Matrix to ensure that the intended SDC host's operating system is compatible for use with your PowerFlex system.

The following methods can be used for SDC installation:

• ESXi:
  • vSphere PowerFlex plug-in (supported for vSphere version 6.7 or earlier)
  • Command line (esxcli)
• Linux:
  • PowerFlex Installer procedure for adding nodes to an existing system (not applicable for hLinux). For more information, see the Configure and Customize PowerFlex Guide.
