Deploy Dell PowerFlex v3.6.x

PDF

Installing VASA provider — Linux

The VASA provider can be installed as part of the PowerFlex installation by adding information to the CSV file, or as part of an extend operation after deployment. The CSV file is uploaded to the PowerFlex Installer during the deployment/extend procedure.

In a Linux-based system, the VASA provider can be installed during deployment of PowerFlex, or by extending an existing PowerFlex. The following fields must be included in the CSV file:
  • Is Vasa Provider
  • Vasa Provider IP (optional)

For detailed information on these fields, see Table 1.

Follow the general deployment instructions outlined in Deployment workflow—Linux.

After the VASA provider is installed, see the Configure and Customize Dell PowerFlex guide for post-installation VASA provider and vVols configurations.
