Deploy Dell PowerFlex v3.6.x

Install the MDM packages (5-node cluster)

Install the PowerFlex MDM package for CentOS on SVMs that will be part of a 5-node MDM cluster.

1. Copy the following file to all MDM and tiebreaker (TB) servers (MDM 1, 2, 3 and TB 1 and 2):
   1. EMC-ScaleIO-mdm-3.6-<build>.X.elX.x86_64.rpm
2. Install the MDM and configure the Manager role, by running the following commands on the primary (MDM 1) and secondary MDMs (MDM 2 and MDM 3):

   MDM_ROLE_IS_MANAGER=1 rpm -i <mdm_path.rpm>

   NOTE: The default MDM credentials are:

   • user name: admin
   • password: admin
   For example:

   MDM_ROLE_IS_MANAGER=1 rpm -i EMC-ScaleIO-mdm-3.6-<build>.X.el6.x86_64.rpm

3. Install the MDM on the tiebreaker MDMs (TB 1 and TB 2):

   MDM_ROLE_IS_MANAGER=0 rpm -i <mdm_path.rpm>

   For example:

   MDM_ROLE_IS_MANAGER=0 rpm -i EMC-ScaleIO-mdm-3.6-<build>.X.el6.x86_64.rpm
