Installing a cooling fan module
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- If installed, remove the air shroud.
Steps
- Align and place the fan module connector horizontally with the connector on the system board.
NOTE:The procedure to remove standard (STD) or high performance gold (HPR Gold) dual cooling fan modules are same.
- Press the orange touch point on the cooling fan module until firmly connected.
