Installing the rear drive module
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- If installed, remove the air shroud.
Steps
- Align the rear drive module with the guide on the system board.
- Lower the rear drive module and slide it to the backward till it clicks.
- Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the rear drive module.
NOTE:The procedure to install the rear drive module is the same for liquid cooling module configuration.

Next steps
- If removed, install the expansion card riser
- Connect all the cables to the rear drive module.
- Install the rear drives.
- If removed, replace the air shroud.
- Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
