Removing the rear drive module
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- If installed, remove the air shroud.
- Remove the rear drives.
- Disconnect all the cables from the rear drive module.
- If installed, remove the expansion card riser
Steps
- Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the rear drive module or the liquid cooling rear drive module.
- Slide the rear drive module forward and then lift it away from the system.
NOTE:The procedure is the same for removing the rear drive module in liquid cooling module configuration.
