master

Configures master clocks for the PTP slave devices.

Syntax
master ip-address [ingress-delay-asymmetry ingress-delay-value] [egress-delay-asymmetry egress-delay-value]
Parameters
  • ip-address—Specifies the IP addresses of the master clock devices.
  • ingress-delay-asymmetry ingress-delay-value—Specifies the ingress delay asymmetry value in nanoseconds. The supported values are from -9,223,372,036,854,775,808 to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807.
  • egress-delay-asymmetry egress-delay-value—Specifies the egress delay asymmetry value in nanoseconds. The supported values are from -9,223,372,036,854,775,808 to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807.

Usage Information

The delay asymmetry value is applicable only in slave mode. This configuration is applicable only to unicast peers. The no form of this command removes the configuration.

OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/1
OS10(conf-if-eth1/1/1)# ptp transport ipv4 unicast slave
OS10(conf-ethernet1/1/1-ptp-ipv4-slave)# master 10.10.10.1
OS10(conf-ethernet1/1/1-ptp-ipv4-slave)# master 10.10.10.2
Example (delay asymmetry) 
OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/1
OS10(conf-if-eth1/1/1)# ptp transport ipv4 unicast slave negotiation-enable
