CFI backup scheduled to start immediately after a traditional backup
NetWorker 19.8 supports Client File Index (CFI) backup scheduled to start immediately after a successful traditional backup. This makes it possible to retain customer data together with its corresponding index in media for a long term.
The new attribute enable CFI is added in the resource NSR Protection Policy for traditional backup action to configure CFI backup. The option to start CFI backup is disabled by default. The administrator can now configure to schedule CFI backup at an action level in the following ways.
- To enable CFI backup for traditional backup action using nsrpolicy command
nsrpolicy action update backup traditional --policy_name p1 --workflow_name wf1 --action_name backup --enable_cfi yes
- To enable CFI backup for traditional backup action using nsradmin command
