Dell NetWorker 19.9 Administration Guide

Deleting a policy

When you delete a policy, the deletion process also deletes all workflows and actions for the policy.

Groups that are assigned to the workflows in the policy are not deleted, however. The workflow assignment for the group is removed from the group properties. You can assign the group to a workflow in a different policy, or delete the group.

  1. In the Administration window, click Protection.
  2. In the expanded left pane, select Policies.
  3. Right-click the policy, and select Delete.
    A confirmation message appears.
  4. Click Yes.
NOTE:The Policy resource remains in the Monitoring window until all the information about the workflows and actions within the policy expire in the jobs database. The default job expiration time is 72 hours. Modifying the retention period for jobs in the jobs database describes how to change the default job expiration time.
