Disabling a device
Disabling a device prevents further operation of the device. The device may be re-enabled to restore old data, which is retained but not active.
- In the NMC window for your NetWorker server, click the Devices view and select the Devices folder in the navigation tree.
- In the Devices table, right-click the device to be disabled and select Unmount.
- Right-click this unmounted device and select Enable/Disable to disable.
- Inspect the Enabled column of the table to verify that the device is disabled.
