Dell NetWorker 19.9 Administration Guide

Running utilities on NetWorker orchestrated replication imported volume and save sets

Viewing NetWorker orchestrated replicated volume

Replicated volume is in replicated state at the target NetWorker server. Replicated save sets present in replicated volume has Replica flag associated with it. When volume is in replicated state, the replicated save set present in volume cannot be deleted or expired. Volume cannot be relabelled .

Use mminfo -O utility to check the status flag of volume. If it is in replicated state, 0x8020 is displayed.

Where:
  • 0x8000 - Volume is replicated.
  • 0x0020 - Volume is read-only.

If the volume is not in replicated state, or if once the replicated status flag is removed, mminfo -O utility shows the volume status flag as 0x0.

Viewing NetWorker orchestrated replicated save sets

To check the status flag of the replicated save sets, use mminfo -S utility. This utility for replicated save sets shows M in the save set flags (sflags). For example, for a typical replicated save set, M is embedded in mminfo -S output vMF. Once the replica flag is removed, it displays the sflags as vF.

Breaking NetWorker orchestrated replication

Once you break Mtree replication from Data Domain, remove replicated flag from volume as well. By using nsrmm -g <replicated volume name> option, you can remove Replicated and read-only volume status flags from Replicated volume to normal volume status.

This operation also traverses the volume, checks each save set in the volume, and removes Replica status flag from each save set. Once the breaking of Replicated and replica status from volume and save sets is done, you can delete the replicated save sets or expire using nsrmm utility.

See nsrmm section in the NetWorker Command Reference Guide for more information.
