Configure a Space Consumption Limit for a Volume

Set a space consumption limit to specify the maximum space that can be used on the volume. This option is not available for SCv2000 or SCv3000 series storage systems.

Steps

  1. If the Dell Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
  2. In the right pane, click Edit Settings. The Edit Volume dialog box appears.
  3. Configure the Space Consumption Limit options.
    1. Select Enabled.
    2. In the field, type the maximum space that can be used on the volume in kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), or terabytes (TB).
  4. Click OK to close the Edit Advanced Volume Settings dialog box, then click OK to close the Edit Volume dialog box.
