SMI-S
Dell Storage Manager supports the Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI‑S), a standard interface specification developed by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). SMI-S allows Dell Storage Manager to interoperate with storage management software and hardware from other vendors.
NOTE:The Storage Manager Data Collector must be installed in a Microsoft Windows environment.
SMI-S is not supported on a Virtual Appliance.
