Demote a Mapping from a Server Cluster to an Individual Server

If a volume is mapped to a server cluster, you can demote the mapping so that it is mapped to one of the servers that belongs to the cluster.

Steps

  1. If the Dell Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
  2. Click the Storage tab.
  3. In the Storage tab navigation pane, select the volume.
  4. In the right pane, click the Mappings tab.
  5. In the right pane, select the server for which you want to demote the mapping, then click Demote from Cluster.
    The Demote from Cluster dialog box opens.
  6. Click OK.
