Configure Individual Back-End I/O Ports
A back-end port must be configured before the port can be used for back-end connectivity.
Steps
- If the Dell Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
- Click the Storage tab.
- In the Storage tab navigation pane, select Fault Domains, then click the Unconfigured Ports subtab.

Right-click a SAS I/O port and select
Configure as Back End from the menu.
The port is configured as a back-end port.
