A network time protocol (NTP) server provides the time and date to the Storage Manager Virtual Appliance.

Steps
- Using the VMware vSphere Client, launch the console for the Storage Manager Virtual Appliance.
- Log in to the Storage Manager Virtual Appliance CLI.
- Press 2 and Enter to enter the Configuration menu.
- Press 1 and Enter to enter the NTP menu.
- Press 1 and Enter to launch the NTP setup.
- Type the IP address or host name of an NTP server.
- Press Enter.
